Live a Longer Life

My sister Callie found this feature on Yahoo and read some of to me. I thought it was pretty interesting, especially because it's about living a longer life. Here's some of the things it says to do:

1. Learn to Relax- too much stress is very unhealthy to your body.

2. Respect your Mouth- floss & brush everyday...your oral system has a large effect on your overall body and can reduce chances of gum disease, wrinkles, and even stroke.



3. Drink Tap Water- bottled water is bad for the environment but most don't include fluoride which prevents tooth decay. If you don't like the taste, then buy a filter, which can remove some residue.




4. Skip the 11 o'clock News- depressing stories about financial issues, death, bad forecasts, etc. can leave you feeling down and makes it harder to fall asleep. If you must watch TV watch something funny or happy.
5. Get a Good Sleep- "One recent study found that people who got less than seven hours of shut-eye are almost three times more likely to get sick after exposure to a cold virus than those who slept eight hours or more." Make sure you get at least 7-9 hours of sleep every night.


6. Wear Sunscreen- that's has at least SPF 15 and make sure you reapply!

  2. This is wonderful, thank you. I try to do these as much as possible and I've gotten better, but I still quite a ways to go. I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
