Pre-Winter Cleaning

My sisters (Kaitlyn, Callie) were out at an archaeological dig with some of their fellow
club members and I was home alone with my parents, while my brother was at a sleepover.
So I had quite a bit of time on my hands...

In the morning we went to a garage sale and I bought a few neat items!
Such as:

These glass roses which the lady claimed she bought in England.

And three antique books in pretty^^^ good condition

Then after I had brought all those narly items
up to my room, I decided to CLEAN!
YES...CLEAN!
I know be impressed. ;)

I even printed and framed this picture of my siblings and I
when we were in London. Ah memories.
Then I put up my bulletin board in the center of my room
so it could be seen by ALL!
(pictures follow...)
All the while big Mo was keeping me company!
Kneading dough on my pillow. hehehe.
The final thing I need to do to figure out what classes I want to take next
year, all of which are listed in this large intimidating yellow paper.

Lumos

"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

L'Automne

Summer has gone away...and has been replaced with FALL!
yay!

You have no idea how much I've been longing for this after that heated Texas summers.

Now I can wear -cardigans
-sweaters
-pants
-LOOONG socks
-leg warmers
-closed toed shoes
-dresses with long sleeves
-knitted hats

oh thank goodness. :)

what's your favorite part of fall?
the changing of the leaves?
the clothes?
the chilly weather?

I couldn't choose so here's some photos I found representing some of the best parts...

HAPPY FALL you guys!
Winter's just around the corner...

Oh and here's a song that I really enjoyed on Glee,
I'd heard the original by Barbara Streisand and Judy Garland
but I think Kurt and Rachel did an amazing job as well.

Actually My Name's Marina

Have you ever felt like an artist was entirely yours?
That you want to share their music with the ENTIRE world,
but at the same time you still want them to be only known to you.
Does that make any sense at all?
Well that's exactly how I feel about Marina & the Diamonds.
^^She was my fellow companion,
when I was driving to work this summer with my sister.
We would blast her music as we drove down the highway,
and sing along in loud bizarre voices.
I simply adore her music.
We have history...those days with simply her music are treasured.
But I think I'm finally ready to completely share her with Blogger Land.
This is a big step for me...enjoy:

(I Am Not A Robot is the one that started it all,
my sister, Kaitlyn ,introduced it to me. :})

The Thoughts Circling Around in My Mind

DISCLAIMER: There is a lot of excessive randomness in this post.
Beware...
My sister Callie has this seriously cool Polaroid camera.
I bought some film and have been taking a few photos around the house.
Don't they come out really cool?
I think so. :)
Another awesome thing is that my swap partner
received the gift I made for her!
YAAAAAAY!
And she liked it, which is even better. haha.
She mentioned it in this post...go ahead, check it out ya know you wanna.
*makes smug look*
HEY YOU KNOW WHAT TODAY IS!?
My mom and dad's anniversary!!
Yeah a total of 24 years in.
That's pretty amazing... :}
I'm really happy for them.
I think this moment calls for a song:

Paramore: "The Only Exception"

And maybe a few RENT tunes...

Love you all lots!

Hopefully the blog posts will be more frequent now.
This is the first night I haven't had homework in weeks though
crazy huh?

Have a superb week...

Pretty Magnificent Trio of Fluffballs

The other night my brother , Michael, my sister, Callie, and my mom went on a walk with our dogs. They were gone quite a bit longer than usual and it was quite some time before I saw any of them. When I finally did see one of them it was Callie and she had rushed into the house in a frantic manner asking for a flash light. I grabbed it for her and we hopped into the car to a nearby forest/creek/overpass (whatever you'd like to call it hah). She explained that she had heard quite a few meows and that when they went over to investigate, they found some abandoned kittens. There was a box nearby so I'm assuming that's where they were dropped. We're not sure if there were more that just ran off or some that didn't make it but who really knows? Except the people that did it I guess.
So we tried for about an hour to try to lure them to us with no prevail.
The only thing I had to show for it was scratches up and down my legs and ant bites. Ehh.
The next morning when everybody left the house my mom went back down to the creek/foresty overpass and got all of them to come to her.
Pretty amazing thing she did eh?
So now they're living upstairs until we find them a home or until somebody admits that we might actually keep them. But that will mean we'll whole lot of kitties, multiple dogs, and a poop load of fish. Yes I did just say 'poop load'. hehehe. That's quite a lot to take care of.
So without further adieu... MORE KITTY PHOTOS!

Aren't they unfathomably CUTE!??!?

I hope you just nodded your head, 'cause I totally just did.
Oh yeah that just happened. hehe.
